Mascots of the 2010 Winter Olympics

Seeing mascots through the eyes of adults produces stereotypical ideas like bears, salmon, otters, and eagles. Seeing them from the height of a kids, gives a different perspective.

Miga

Miga is a sea bear (part killer whale, part bear) that lives with her family just beyond Vancouver Island.  She is very energetic and grew up loving to surf. When Miga found out that the humans found out how to sur

f on snow she became a huge fan of snowboarding too. As a child of the sea, she loves all seafood, but especially salmon. Her dream is to land a corked 720 in a snowboarding half-pipe and her favorite color is forest green.

Quatchi

Quatchi is a clumsy, but loveable, young Sasquatch from the mysterious forests of Canada. Like all true Canadians his favorite sport is Hockey and he dreams of one day becoming a world famous goalie. His huge size would easily give any team the advantage of having him as their goalie. He loves to travel and experience different food because he’s not a picky eater. Photography is his favorite hobby and chill blue is his favorite color.

Sumi

Sumi is an animal spirit that resides in Whistler located in the mountains of British Columbia.  He has the hat of an orca whale, the wings of thunderbird and the legs of a black bear. He is a huge fan of the Paraolympic Games and is an athlete himself. His favorite sports are alpine skiing and flying. He dreams to one-day share his forest and mountain homelands with the world. His favorite drink is cocoa and his favorite color is fern green.
